The Alpha Rating is a relative currency, not a points projection. It ranks players against each other on their expected pro outcome — it does not forecast fantasy points.
League framing: superflex dynasty, full PPR with 6-point passing touchdowns — so quarterbacks carry extra value. The tool flags the QB angle whenever a side holds one.
A raw value sum flatters the side with more players. Two premium assets can be worth more than four middling ones on a roster you actually have to start. The tool calls this out when the sides are lopsided in count.
Freshmen (FR) have no college production yet. Their value is a projection and is not backtested — treat those numbers as softer.
Not on the college board? A player drafted to the NFL is correctly off the devy board; a current college player who's missing is a coverage gap, not a zero. Either way the tool flags him and leaves him out of the total.
