Alpha Buzz daily

What is being said about the top 100 players at each position on the Alpha draft signal: headlines from team beat sites and wire notes, collected every day and tied to each player. Buzz is a news layer next to the board. It never changes a draft-signal rank.

How buzz works

Coverage: the top 100 players at each position (WR, RB, TE, QB) on the live Alpha draft signal, 400 players in all. Every day we read public team news pages on 247Sports and On3 (headline, link and post time only, never article text) and the public Fantrax player-news wire.
Matching: a headline counts for a player only when his exact name appears and the story is tied to his own team (his team's news page, the wire's team, or his school named in the headline). Shared names need team evidence from the source itself.
Stories, not clicks: the same news on 247Sports and On3 counts once. Counts are stories in the last 7 or 30 days.
Buzz Index (0–5): how much and how positive the last 30 days of coverage were, compared with what is typical for a player at that rank. About 2.5 means coverage in line with his standing; higher means louder and more positive than usual; lower means quieter or more negative. Recent stories weigh more.
Heat: Hot 4+ stories this week · Warm 2–3 · Quiet 0–1 this week but covered in the last 30 days · Negative news negative stories this week at least match the positive ones.
Blank means no recent coverage, never zero. A failed page read is logged and never counted as silence; if too many reads fail on a day, no new buzz is published that day.
Display only: buzz is shown next to the draft signal and never changes a rank. Story direction and type come from fixed headline word lists, so the same headline always reads the same way.
Headlines link to the publisher. Premium stories are marked; we show only the public headline.
